More happenings in AR

Price could talk about no one but RJ for weeks before we went to AR... he couldn't wait for the school bus to bring RJ to Meme's house. They played all the time (I'm sure RJ wasn't quite as happy as Price was!... well.. maybe he was)...
Wesley didn't have a sword to fight with, but he ran around and yelled like he knew what he was doing.

Wesley was afraid to walk on the bridge because the first few boards are a little further apart than the rest, and you can see the water between the boards... he would completely stop and walk as slowly as he could all the way across the bridge... it was funny!!
This is the best climbing tree in the world, apparently... Price was in it every time we went to Meme's house. He had so much fun... and everyone takes good pictures in that tree.. something about the lighting I guess!

What Happens in Arkansas... (Part 2)

Our first day, we went to Meme and Pawpaw's house. We went with them to the nursing home in Monticello to see Ma Shaw and Pappaw Clyde (she was in the nursing home for some re-hab on her shoulder)... the boys were worn out, but had fun seeing everyone.

Wesley and Meme... Price and Pawpaw...
Price with Ma Shaw and Pappaw Clyde...
Wesley and Pappaw Clyde... he really needed a hair cut, which he finally got right before we came home (pictures coming soon)...

We saw this when we got to Memaw Ethyl's house (where we stayed while we were home)... there were three total, but I couldn't ever get a picture of them... this is the best picture I took!

What happens in Arkansas....

We video-taped more than we took pictures while we were home, but here are some of the pictures from our visit... I can't believe we've been back home almost 3 weeks already. We had a great time, and really miss everyone down there. We'll be back in December for Carly and Haley's birthday...

This was the first time Price and Wesley saw Mason... it was at Zach's baseball practice.. we surprised them and stopped by.

It was Boyett's birthday... WOW he's old!! 37!! But I love him anyway... leopard bikini briefs and all!! We went to eat with them at Fiesta Linda's (great Mexican food!!) and since Zach told them about fifteen times that it was Boyett's birthday... they brought him dessert and put this VERY stylish hat on his head...
Tonya was not the least bit embarrassed!!
The first Sunday that we were home, we went to FBC in Crossett to see Mason's dedication... Don't they look like the cutest little family!?! Just precious!

I have more pictures from our trip... it just takes my computer forever to load them... so I'll add more tomorrow...

Sky Sox Game

We have our very own AAA baseball team here in Colorado Springs... We came home from a very busy day last week, and was just getting settled in (about to get everyone in pajamas), and the phone rang saying that someone had four extra tickets to the Sky Sox game that night, and wanted to know if we wanted to go. I said yes, without really thinking too much about it. I was excited because I've never been to any kind of professional baseball game, and since there is a very slim chance that we might make it up to Denver to watch a Rockies game before we leave here, I thought I should take advantage of this opportunity... the tickets were free after all!! Wesley lasted until the 6th inning, but he just couldn't stay still any longer, and he was getting fussy... Here are some of the pictures from our night out.... Both boys were very interested in the Sky Sox mascot... the Fox... Price was scared, and Wesley loved him! Ron took Wesley down to see the fox, and he was very excited!

Back Home - Quick Update...

Wow... it's been awhile!! Sorry for those of you I couldn't communicate with in Arkansas... they do have computers there, but not where I was staying... sorry!! :) I did get A LOT of reading done while I was home, and it's a little weird to walk around and not have a book I need to finish!
I haven't loaded pictures on here yet, so you'll just have to wait for those. We weren't "chosen" for the adoption that we were hoping for. We were completely prepared by God for this answer, so it wasn't really that much of a shock for us. They gave us an explanation for their decision, and we're trying to accept that. We're just trying to follow God's will... even if we are finding out that His will is not what ours is at the moment. We're glad to be back home and can't wait for VBS to start tomorrow. Thanks for all the prayers, and we can't wait to see those of you we haven't seen in 6 weeks.

Randomness

The last few weeks have been a little bit crazy for us, and we're not done with the craziness yet... in fact, it might just be getting started. We're in the process of trying to adopt two little boys into our family. That is enough on the subject right now because I don't know if we're going to be "chosen" for them or not, so I'll talk more about that after we get a definite answer. Just wanted to let everyone know why we've been absent lately. Not because we aren't still taking pictures... I have a ton of them, but because we're just too busy to sit down and post any. So I'm going to try to fill everyone in on our week last week. These are in random order, but are from our trip to the zoo, our playday at the park, our last day of bible study (the children's program), and just random pictures of them. I'll try to post more, and was told by someone (Dee) that if I wanted people to read my blog and post comments, I should write about sex. I'm hoping that just putting the word in this post will spark interest!! More about adoption to come, as soon as we have news.

No Museum... but Randomness

Well... we didn't get to go to the Children's Museum like we had planned (get better soon Katie!) so here are just some random shots from the last few weeks/days... I can only load one picture at a time, which is why I haven't wanted to post... it's driving me crazy!!
Sooo... we got a new bird feeder, played outside (almost) naked, watched a squirrel climb a tree all the way to the sky, and enjoyed a car ride with "someone's" new idol... I mean best friend!! That pretty much sums up our life right now. We're counting down the days until we get to come home... see y'all soon!!

The child can't be convinced that he should wear socks anymore... his feet smell aweful every day!! Any idea whose family this came from... I will neither confirm or deny anything, but my feet are very tender, so I'm sure it wasn't me!!

Playing, Playing, Playing

Last weekend, Ron and I took the boys to Chuck E. Cheese (we found a coupon), and they had fun playing...
Yesterday we met our church playgroup at McDonald's and had fun playing....

Today we invited some kids over for a playdate. We had so much fun hosting our first playdate. We've never been to a playdate at anyone's house, only out somewhere, so this was really fun for us. The kids definitely had fun playing!

We've just been doing lots of playing, playing, playing!!

Garden of the Gods Trip

Here's the head after the "thing" fell off. Just a little scab, and the Doctor said it would come off and be fine. Any redness you see if from wearing band-aids for the past month. Check out the static!
