Annual Conference

Well... Ron finally made it. He was ordained tonight in Russellville, AR. It was a wonderful service. My parents came as well as Uncle Rusty and Aunt Susan (all the way from Georgia) and Aunt Lena, Uncle James, and Denisha. We were very happy that we had a whole row filled up to stand up when Ron went on stage. I think Price and Wesley decided that we had stayed up too long. Wesley just gave up and went to sleep about 10pm, but Price hung in there until we got back to our room and got him settled. Both boys were excellent today, and they were very well-behaved sitting through that LONG (it was sooo long to them) service tonight.
We have been researching Colorado Springs like crazy recently, and can't wait to get out there. Our computer has been on the fritz, so we ordered a new one (just computer... not monitor or anything else), and since out camera just up and broke one day, we have sent it off to be repaired, and hopefully they will both be back when we get home. We are done with Annual Conference tomorrow, but we have to go stay in Little Rock at the Air Force Base (AFB) because we have a meeting with the Travel Management Office (TMO) on Thursday about them moving us to CO. After the meeting (we're only taking Wesley) we are headed back home. I'm so ready to be home!! We already have a temporary home in CO, and we are very hopeful that we'll be able to live on-base. The housing office in CO said that they can't reserve us a house, but it looks "very good" that we will get a house when we get there. Guess that's all the updates for now. Congratulation all the Ordained Elders of the United Methodist Church.

Can Everyone Ski??

I hope so because we are going to Colorado Springs, CO!!!!!! :)

We are so happy that we can hardly stand ourselves (I'm sure everyone else around here is in agreement.) I had myself convinced that maybe I didn't want to be that far away from home, and then when we got the news I was just so happy, and I still feel that way. I'm sure that in the next couple of weeks it will hit me and I'll be sad, but right now... I'm only praising God and feeling joy! :)

Mason Boyett Goodwin is home from the hospital and doing just great. Tonya is tired and sleeping a lot, but she is doing much better also. Isn't he just the cutest!?!

Zach is thrilled, even though he thought it was a girl before Mason was born, he's still very happy!!

Well... as soon as we find out all the information, we'll post more, just wanted to update everyone.

Update

Well.. we've managed to drive our car for a few weeks now, and no wrecks yet!! YAY!! No new with our assignment yet... we are told that all of the paperwork has been done, and we are just waiting to find out where!!! We are very excited, but I'm also getting very tired of waiting. We went through books tonight, and this room looks kind of sad with empty book shelves :(
Momma and I went to Tonya's shower today (my sister-in-law)... she is due June 4th, and they won't find out what they are having. So, I think everyone who brought them presents just picked what they thought they would have. Everything was pink!! I sure hope it is a girl, or Tonya won't have any clothes for him and she will have to do a lot of exchanging. Our family needs a little girl... we are being smothered in testosterone... Mother's Day is tomorrow, and I'm taking the boys and going over to Momma's church for breakfast, then Ron will meet us there after church... I'm excited about it, because I love spending time hanging out with Momma... she's what I will probably miss the most after we leave, but I have already figured out about what time we will come visit. Just after her birthday every year! :) That will be good. Guess that's all for the update... so... let's review... we STILL don't know anything yet!! :)

New Haircut

Befor the haircut!!

Goodbye Curls!! :( We got Price's hair cut off. He was getting too hot this summer, and I've promised myself I'll let it get longer when it gets cooler... so maybe this is just temporary. I think it's precious, but I miss my baby with curls!!

We got the final paperwork signed, so I think we just wait until they say that Ron can be commissioned for Active Duty. After that, it will go to whomever gives us our orders (i.e. where we will live.)
