See Our Pretty Puppy!

Precious Princess Leia!! Doesn't she look cute in her new sweater?!

She still shivers when we go outside, but she only weighs two pounds and it was only 3 degrees this morning when she went out... so, of course, she shivers! :)

Christmas in Colorado

This is what Santa left for the boys... they (well... Price) was very excited this morning.Price is showing off his presents.
Wesley loves his car that he got from Meme! :) He can get in and out all by himself (which Price thinks means that "Wesley is soooooo big now!")
Two funnies from Price.... Yesterday (Christmas Eve) we were outside looking for Santa.
"Price, do you think that is Santa? Do you think he's here?"
(We could see something in the sky)
"He knows we're not asleep yet Mommy"
"Yeah... he does."
"You know how? Because he lives in our bellies!"
Then today (Christmas), on the phone with Uncle Rusty:
"Uncle Rusty, it's snowing here... (not sure what Uncle Rusty said)...
yeah... it only snows in Colorado."
Merry Christmas to ALL!!

Playin' in the Snow

We came home to a yard full of snow, and we've been playing in it everyday.
Price and I made out first snowman (we had no idea how to make it) so it looks really sad! :)
And then Price made some snow angels... when I tried to tell him how to do it he said.. "Momma, before we left Portland, Meme showed me how to do it." and then laid right down and made a beautiful snowman... so thank you Meme! :)

Two kids, two adults, and a weinie dog: Twenty hours of pure heck!

Here are some pictures from our visit home, we had a fantastic time, and we can't wait to go back this summer. The trip home was another story all-together. The children and the dog were as good as we could have ever wanted. They were fantastic, but 20 hours on the road will get to anyone, so we were all pretty wiped out when we got home.
Enjoy! :) I'll add more pictures of our trip when I get them on the computer.

This is just one of the many lights we saw at the Jones' lighting in Crossett.
This is our newest member of the family. Princess Leia had a wonderful time sleeping on Price for most of our twenty hours.
We came home to a yard full of snow. We had to immediately go outside and run in it. Our first dog, Anakin (I know... we have a Star Wars thing) wasn't sure what to think of the new puppy, and they have decided to just ignore each other for now. We have promised Price that we will make snowmen (plural... he wants to make a snow family) tomorrow, so we will post those pictures also.
For all the people we were able to visit with, we had a great time... for those people we didn't get to visit with, we are very sorry that we missed you, and we will be back in Arkansas in May... anyone coming this way, just needs to call... we will make room for you! :)

Birthday Boy

We had a photographer come over and take pictures of Wesley eating his cake. He really liked playing in it more than actually eating it! :) We had a great time.

She made the best collage... it can only be printed in 8x10 and we're taking orders! :) Let us know if you want one! :)

Happy Halloween

Here are some pictures from our Halloween night. Price wasn't in a good mood for some of them, but he had a great time tonight. We missed all of you. Also... Wesley was supposed to be a pumpkin (Price's first halloween costume), but we couldn't find it (bad parents!) so he had to be santa (his Christmas outfit) so when you get pictures of him dressed in this same outfit, don't be mad! :) Price couldn't decide which costume he wanted to wear... he finally settled on Power Ranger, but Obi-Wan was my favorite... (Uncle Brer... he wanted to be Link, but we couldn't find that costume!)

Wesley is growing up!!

Wesley just turned 11mos old a few days ago. He is almost one year. I can't believe it has passed so quickly. Here he is at two months, and then at 11. He weighs 23 lbs. and has taken a few steps. We're just waiting for him to realize that he can walk.

Visitors from Down South

Price was so excited about Memaw and Pappaw coming to visit. He kept asking when they were coming, and when they would get here. He didn't really understand that the day they left to come up here was not the day they would get here. Anyway... after they got here, their blowup mattress was WAY too small, so Momma and I made a Wal-Mart run to get another one, and everyone had a bed for the week. It was so much fun... here are a few things we did.

If you look really closely, you can see the hot-air balloons... this was about as close as we got.

This was at the Wild West Museum... I told Price to pretend that he was driving Memaw and Pappaw around... so he pretending he was holding the steering wheel... :) He was too cute!
Some people were there filming some kind of film... I tried to take a picture of the bar fight scene, you can see one of the camera people, and on the floor in front of her, you can sort of see two men... they were doing a fight scene... it was pretty cool.
This is at Garden of the Gods... we had a picnic lunch, and then climed on the rocks for pictures.

More From the Last Month

Price was finally brave enough to actually touch the airplanes... he climbed all over them! :) We set the timer, and took a group photo... it was the only picture of all of us that we took while Momma and Daddy were here.

Could there be anything cuter than my babies kissing on an airplane! :)

Long time, no see

It has been a while since I've posted any pictures, and I can only blame it on the fact that for some reason here, no one does ANYTHING during the summer, but as soon as the end of August gets here, they all do EVERYTHING. I was worried when we got here that we would have a hard time meeting people and finding people to hang out with... well... I only had to wait for them to all come back from where ever they went this summer. Anyway... Price has found lots of people to play with, and I've made a lot of friends. We are having a great time here, and we know that we are where God wants us to be. We miss everyone back home, and we especially miss the free babysitting from everyone! :) It stinks to pay someone to come over and play with the kids! :) Anyway... I can't catch up one month in one post, so I'll do a few pics here now, and then another post later with a few more pics. Highlight this month: Memaw and Pappaw drove all the way up here to play with us.... everyone had a great time!!

Price needed a haircut... this was the day Wesley turned 9 mos old.

Price and I made Ron's cake for his birthday... Price picked out the decorations!!

Gymnastics

We started gymnastics a few weeks ago. Price loves it, and he is in a small class, so I feel like he gets a lot of attention. Wesley doesn't care one way or the other, but he was sleeping the other day while we were upstairs watching Price so I had to get his picture. Price was wearing a blue shirt, so you have to hunt to find him in the pictures. Ron's birthday is just a few days away and Memaw and Pappaw are coming up this weekend, so we are all pretty excited!!

Visitors!!

We were so happy to have visitors.... even though it was only for a little while. Randi had to be in Aspen for a few days, and when she was done, she, Kayla, and Ethan stopped by for a little while. We played in the house and outside, and then we went out to eat. Price still hasn't stopped talking about Ethan... he just loves having other kids over here.

Cripple Creek, Colorado

Oh the benefits of being an Air Force Chaplain. Ron had to say a few different prayers for a festival this past weekend. It was called Cripple Creek Salutes America's Armed Forces. As you look at the pictures, I know you can't see it, but EVERY one of the buildings in these pictures are casinos. I have never been to a place that was nothing but casinos. Our hotel (that was completely paid for!) had a casino in the bottom floor... and can I just say... it isn't illegal to smoke inside a casino!! Oh my gosh... it was so smoky. So... I know I'm supposed to be against gambling, and I totally am (unless you have a bagillion dollars!) BUT... we were right there, and so close, that I asked Ron if I could take a few dollars downstairs and play some slots. I have only been in a casino one time in my life, and Ron has some kind of theory that the only way to play is to keep your original money (my $3.00) in one pocket, and then everything that you win in another pocket, so even if you leave with $.12 you still left with whatever you won. So... and let me just clarify that he DOES NOT gamble... he didn't even go downstairs... but me... the weak one, just couldn't help myself. So... I took my little $3.00 downstairs, and 30 minutes later I was back in the room. Now I know, to learn a lesson about not gambling, I should have come back empty handed and sad... BUT.... I came back to the room with $45.00. I could not believe it. I was so scared that I was about to be addicted (I have that kind of personality)... I was more proud of myself for walking away than I was for winning.
The very next day, I saw an article on the computer about a man who sat down at the casino and his chair was wet because the woman who had been there before him had gone to the bathroom on the chair. Okay... that made me sick, and a little sad that I was contributing to places that promote that kind of behavior. The article went on to say that sometimes people will wear adult diapers when they go to the casinos so they won't have to get up out of their chairs. I find that horrifying, and I'm declaring right now that I will not be going to a casino anymore!

Okay... the pictures... my babies are just so cute, and Ron is on stage somewhere!! :) We miss everyone and we're ready for some visitors... please come see us!!! :)

Family Pictures

The wife of one of the Chaplain Assistants is also in the Air Force and she works for Public Affairs. She has been taking pictures for a while, and now she's trying to start doing "civilian" events such as weddings and things like that... well... sounded like the perfect chance for us to get pictures taken for not a lot of money! :) Anyway, she put them on disk for us, and they are fantastic. Here is a sampling (there are over 80 of them).

Aren't they just too cute!?
