Mamas a Go Go Playgroup

We had our first little playgroup today, and we had a lot of fun. My boys were both wiped out when we got home. From oldest to youngest... here are the kids... Tyler (5), Price (4), Cole (3), Kendal (3), Jacob (3), Brady (2), Hannah (2), Kayden (1), Wesley (1). We bought a stroller for the smallest two, and just corralled the others. Four mamas were enough to handle this bunch!! We played at the play center, then went to Old Navy and Borders... we didn't lose anyone (for long), and they all played well together. We can't wait for the next one!!

I can only get blogger to download one picture at a time... so this is all you get!!

Nate and Gwyneth

I know I asked everyone to check out Nate's blog and read their story, but I thought I would post a picture that he had on his blog the other day. He entitled it "Perspective" It is his hand and baby Gwyneth's hand. Check him out here.

Getting Ready for Easter

I should have posted this before the last post, but I forgot to upload the pictures. We dyed the eggs, then let Wesley get on the counter and have some fun. Enjoy!!

Then Price posed, quite nicely I might add, for a picture of the projects we did at our playdate on Saturday. He made three different things... the Easter lilly from his hand print, the paper cross, and the doorhanger with Easter words on it. We had a really good time.

Easter 2008

This is our first Easter away from home. The Easter bunny came last night, and hid eggs in the house because it was SNOWING outside. I'm looking forward to spring, but for some reason, spring just doesn't happen when it is supposed to. Is there a happy medium between the south where it never has winter, and the north where is only has winter!?!? I want to be somewhere medium!! Anyway... here are some pictures of our day today. I'm not naming any of the children in these pictures for fear that someone will see how completely cute they are, and try to steal them! Our friends, FROM LOUISIANA!!, invited us over for FISH... they FRIED FISH, and we ate it. Price was so excited because this fish was "like at Meme's house", and he had two pieces. Just to show you what we were dealing with... we had one four year old, three three year olds, one two year old, and two one year olds. It was a fun day!!

Aren't they just too cute?!?!

This was in front of the alter at the chapel. The flowers were beautiful, but Wesley didn't want to sit still for ANY pictures.

Wesley spent the day going up and down the stairs!!

Price was a little upset with the other kids for wanting to play the Wii... but pretty soon, everyone was sharing!! Isn't Star Wars great!?!?!

What did everyone else do for Easter?!?

Emergency Room Visit

Well... we've made our first emergency room visit. Actually, I think we took Price one time when he was less than a year old because he had some kind of sinus infection, and it was the weekend and I couldn't get his fever down. This is our first real, oh my gosh hurry up, visit. Wesley's head started bleeding, and we couldn't get it to stop. I took a few pictures while we were on our way to the hospital, but I can't get them off my camera, so these are pictures after we got back home. You can tell by the amount of dried blood, that he bled a lot before we finally got it stopped. We were sent home with lots of gauze, and told to go to our regular ped. on Monday. They will look at it and send us to a dermatologist who will remove it. I think I remember that part right. They will also "send it off for tests"... I'm not sure I like that. It makes it seem like something serious, and I don't want it to be anything serious. Ron says it's not anything to worry about, but hey... this is my baby, and I don't want anything to be taken off of him and then "sent off". Anyway... here are the pictures... if you are squeamish about babies with dried blood on their face, then don't look... but really.. he looks happy in both pictures!!

See how upset he looks by the whole thing?? He just wanted a bottle and wanted to be left alone. We cleaned him up as much as possible after we got a new band-aid on his face.

Randomness!

We have a new house guest for about a week. He's getting used to living in the zoo! He comes from a house with a 13 and 16 year old, so he's not used to Wesley, but then again... who is? His name is TJ, but Price calls him PJ (because of our old dog PJ).

Doesn't he have the cutest face... he's so sweet!!

Also.. this came running in from his room and said..."Look, I'm an elf!"

And, this is a "snot-nose" kid. Just in case you were wondering what that meant!!

Bunkbeds

The bunkbeds have finally arrived, and Wesley is already in his bed asleep! We spent the evening putting together the beds, and now Price is actually asking if it's bedtime. Amazing! Here are some pictures of the new bed... and who is that handsome pirate!?!?

I promise he wasn't drugged in this picture, but maybe now I'll know what to look for when he gets in high school.

Chuck E. Cheese

We met our new playgroup for our first playtime at Chuck E. Cheese. It was a lot of fun, but I didn't get to talk to very many of the mothers. I was too busy chasing Wesley around. He hated being in the high chair, so I finally let him down and he ran into the kitchen at least two times. They just kept walking him back out, and he would just laugh!! I didn't get many pictures, but here they are!

Come See What we Did Today!

If you want to know more about this... come check out the Homeschooling Blog! Today was our first official day. It took about 1 hour to do everything, and no one complained at all (well... I may have a little bit!)

How He Spent his Fourth Birthday

Well... We thought about just staying home today and doing nothing... but, hey... Price will only turn four once!!

Easter Egg Hunt on base! They both had a great time... they were also both scared of the Easter Bunny!

Our next stop was the St. Patrick's Day Parade downtown. It was much better than any of us were expecting. Wesley LOVED the horses!

After most of the parade had gone by, we went to play on some of the playthings.

They were both just a little worn out, but the day wasn't over yet!!

We still had to make birthday cupcakes (We used chocolate chip muffins and put icing and sprinkles on them.

All in all... it was a great day!! We finished it off with our annual birthday picture wearing Daddy's uniform.

I love snow... sometimes

I didn't have anywhere to go this morning, so I didn't mind this at all... don't you all wish you were here!?!? I know you do... don't deny it.

Yes... that's Price's Jeep under there!

I'm working on Price's birthday slide show... I can't believe he's four years old today. Does it seem that long to anyone because it sure doesn't to me. Look how he wrote his name last night. I only told him the sounds of the letters because we've been learning the sounds and not the names of them. I told him the sounds and he wrote them. I was so impressed I laminated it and I'm adding it to the scrapbook! I'm quite sure he's a genius.

On the way home today he said... "Daddy, is it raining AND snowing?" Ron replies, "yes"... after a few minutes Price says, "God must be using both hands!". We're still laughing!
